Maxwell & Williams

Photographing food is DELICIOUS. It has a visual life-force; an energy that sets the senses on fire.

Join me on a journey of rustic gourmet luxury with Maxwell & Williams dinnerware, cutlery and glassware. The challenge with plates and glassware photography is to make dinnerware the hero of the shot, not the cuisine.

I put together a ‘vintage country vineyard’ inspired gourmet lunch to tell the story of this classic and trusted Australian brand. There’s nothing better than a good wholesome spread with family and friends.

Cabernet filet mignon steak with rocket and pear salad, fries, and Harris Farm organic tomatoes. I adore presenting meals on rustic wooden boards.

Beerenberg raspberry and blueberry jam, Ob finest fig and pecan specialty crackers, gouda cheese, fresh figs and green grapes look too good to eat.

Cheers to a Penfolds Grange 2013 Shiraz in a classic cosmo wine glass.

This delectable caramel tart is from Papi Chulo - Merivale, and served upon a caviar coupe plate. Fancy a sip of T2 Rose tea? Loving the texture of this dark dinnerware, and the bronze dessert spoon speaks of a subtle vintage vibe.

Nachos doritos with homemade mexican guacamole, homemade mexican pico de gallo and stuffed baby caps. Wash it down with a strong margarita done with Espolon Tequila Reposado. Why not?

Again the elemental cutlery set, bowls and plates are beautiful besties.

Pat and Stick’s ice cream sandwiches! Who can resist some classic messy gourmet fun to finish off a meal?

Finally, Pure Pops ice popsicles presented on the huge 25.5cm Black Plate.

Pretty cool don’t you think?

Feeling hungry now? It’s easy to see why Maxwell & Williams are known for their high quality original pieces. It was a pleasure creating this spread, and doing the dishes wasn’t even a chore.
